hmm...

So I didn't do any exercise yesterday. Right after work I went dorm shopping with my friend, and then we did dinner and a movie. We went to Chili's and I had the quesadilla salad, and we also tried those new shot glass dessert things. They were good. However, today for the fun of it, I looked up the calories for that salad: 980!!! omg, that sucks.
I also had some pastry-type chocolate thing at another friend's house, later in the night. I really didn't want it, but it was from a gourmet restaurant and I couldn't refuse without looking weird. Oh well, it wasn't that big.

Today has been really good so far. Typical breakfast, thai curry/spring roll and a latte for lunch. I intend on doing the speed/interval workout on the treadmill when I get home...even though it's by FAR my least favorite...ugh. But I'm really cold and bored right now so running actually sounds kind of appealing.

I'm assuming I'll stay home for dinner, which means a home-cooked meal! Yay! And of course, tomorrow's Friday, which means it's the day we're leaving for Steamboat. I really want to get in some good runs, so hold me to it!!!

ugh I want to go home but I'm still stuck at work...kill me now...

don't know, don't care

ok, that's a lie.

But I'm trying to refrain from weighing myself every day because it's starting to freak me out a little bit.

No, but seriously. I feel like I’ve been doing really well lately and my weight IS going down…but not very consistently. So I think if I weigh only once or twice a week I won’t be so weirded out when my weight fluctuates.

Yesterday was a bump, eating-wise. First there was the Indian buffet at lunch were I completely gorged myself (I felt sick for the rest of the day). Next, it was someone’s birthday at our office so I was given dulce de leche candy which I almost ate, but is now sitting in my purse. Then, at dinner I stuck to a salad because of the lunch fiasco, but my little brother’s French fries were literally calling my name…lol. And then, to top it off, I REALLY REALLY wanted some chocolate. I had a few baking chocolate chips, but not too bad. Argh. It was awful.

I did 20 minutes on the treadmill at 5 mph which was ok, but I was kinda aiming for 25. Oh well.

Today was much better. I had my typical breakfast, and a quesadilla/salad and latte for lunch. I’m going out with my friend for dinner, so who knows where we’ll go.

This weekend we’re going up to spend the weekend at a condo in Steamboat. I’m really excited to relax, but I think I’ll take my running shoes to try some outdoor running. Whoo! It should be a good, physical weekend between that and hiking and hopefully some biking, too.

Good News: Yesterday I ran for 50 minutes: 3 and 1/3 miles! WHOO!!

Bad News: Indian buffet for lunch. SO bloated!

Ok, I know. I missed two whole posts. But it was the weekend, so that kinda threw me off schedule.

I did exercise on Friday though, the tempo run. Then, my family and I went to the dinner theatre. Unfortunately, they don't have a lot of options as far as eating goes: only one vegetarian entree. I ended up having a salad, some veggies and artichoke dip, pasta with creamy tomato sauce, green beans, and a piece of garlic bread. Then I had some sort of alcoholic coffee drink, a glass of champagne, and a mini cheesecake bite. All of that sounds like a lot, but their portions are fairly small, and I definitely could have done a lot worse. So that was nice.

Yesterday was kind of strange, too. For breakfast I had a soy latte, a granola bar, and some grapes, a mcdonald's salad for lunch (without chicken) and a salad/penne rosa from noodles for dinner. However, my friends and I went drinking afterwards, and its really hard to stop eating when you're wasted! So I definitely had 5 jello shots and some flavored tequila. But as far as snacking went, it went relatively well. I did have some cookie dough, but mostly just whole-wheat triscuits and cherries.

I didn't work out yesterday, though, but that was kind of a conscious decision. I hadn't taken a day off from running in a while, so I thought rest would probably be a good thing.

Today's been well so far. I had the same breakfast and lunch from ysterday, and I just finished this week's speed workout on the treadmill. Man, I seriously thought I was oing to ovmit, though that might have been a side effect from last night's alcohol consumption. I think I might try one of the Carment Electra tapes because no one else is home, I'm bored, and I'm not really tired. I have no idea what we're having for dinner, but I'll probably eat with my parents, which is good.

Well, that's pretty much all I have to say. Weight loss is going pretty well :).

WTF? Argh. Angry.

I did well yesterday, too. I only had a little bit of brownie and some cherries at my friend’s party, and then a latte and 20 minute run when I came home. Maybe it’s just bloat?

Today I tried to eat even better, though. I had an apple and granola bar for breakfast, and then a salad with avocado, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, mushrooms, and miso dressing. I also had two small buns with a little butter. Also another nonfat latte.

I don’t know what I’m going to do for dinner, I think my friends and I might be ordering pizza…shit.

So, yesterday I was scheduled to do 20 minutes on the elliptical and I went ahead and did 30. It felt good, but to be honest I really intensely despise the elliptical. I get soooo bored, and constantly trying to keep my rpm within a certain range is really taxing. I’d never thought I’d say this (and right now it may just be a temporary emotional thing), but I’m really looking forward to the longer, slower runs on my program. Today I’m scheduled to do 20 minutes at my slowest pace, but if I have time I’ll probably do more. Though it probably wouldn’t hurt to take it a little easier, because my calves are ridiculously sore today!

I also tried the first Carmen Electra tape yesterday…it was fairly enjoyable. The workout didn’t feel intense AT ALL at the time, but like I said, I do feel sore today so maybe it was harder than it looked. Like I expected, it was more fun than anything. I’m definitely going to try the other 4 discs. I’ve never done workout tapes before, but it was kind of fun so maybe I’ll look for some more intense ones to use in the future.

Eating has actually gone fairly well so far today, too. For breakfast I had an apple and a peanut butter granola bar. For lunch I had a cup of tomato soup and a open faced veggie sandwich, with artichoke hearts, asparagus, tomato, pesto, and havarti dill cheese. It was so amazingly good. My dad and I also stopped and got mango smoothies, but they’re less than 90 calories, so not bad at all.

I have a dinner party to go to tonight, so dinner has the possibility of being out of control. I’ll arrive late though, because of work, so hopefully I’ll miss out on a lot of the eating. I just hope that I don’t eat too much dessert (or that it’s forced on me). To be honest, I haven’t really been craving a lot of sweets lately, and I’d kind of like to keep it that way.
